Numbers 16:8
“Moses said to Korah, “Hear now, you sons of Levi!”
What does Numbers 16:8 mean?
Moses is addressing Korah and the other Levites who are challenging his leadership, and he's calling them to actually listen to what he's about to say. The Levites had a real role in serving at the tabernacle, but Korah wanted more power and was stirring up rebellion against Moses and Aaron. By saying "Hear now," Moses is asking them to pause their complaints and consider his perspective, though the confrontation that follows shows how deeply the disagreement ran. It's a moment of someone trying to get a hearing before a conflict becomes irreversible, something many of us recognize from our own difficult conversations.
