What does Numbers 14:22 mean?

The Israelites had witnessed extraordinary things, God's power made visible through the plagues in Egypt and miraculous provision in the desert. Yet despite all that evidence, they repeatedly doubted God and refused to trust his direction, testing his patience again and again. This verse captures God's frustration with a pattern of willful disobedience, not one moment of weakness but a consistent choice to disbelieve even when they had seen his hand at work. It's a sobering reminder that knowing about God's faithfulness in the past doesn't automatically carry us through the next hard moment, unless we actually choose to believe and obey.
