Numbers 11:17
“I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit which is on you, and will put it on them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you don’t bear it yourself alone.”
What does Numbers 11:17 mean?
Moses was overwhelmed, carrying the weight of leading millions of people through the wilderness while managing their constant complaints and needs. God's response here is both practical and deeply compassionate: he promises to share the spiritual gift that empowered Moses with seventy chosen elders, so the leadership burden wouldn't crush one person alone.
