Nehemiah 6:14
““Remember, my God, Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and also the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.””
What does Nehemiah 6:14 mean?
Nehemiah is asking God to remember (and judge fairly) those who actively opposed and intimidated him while he was rebuilding Jerusalem's walls. Tobiah and Sanballat were powerful enemies who mocked and threatened the project, while Noadiah and other prophets spread fear by claiming God opposed the work. Rather than seeking revenge himself, Nehemiah is placing these people and their harmful actions into God's hands, trusting that God sees what they've done and will respond justly. It's a prayer born from real opposition and real weariness, and it shows us that even faithful people facing opposition can honestly bring their frustration to God instead of acting out of anger or despair.
