Nehemiah 1:2
“Hanani, one of my brothers, came, he and certain men out of Judah; and I asked them about the Jews who had escaped, who were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.”
What does Nehemiah 1:2 mean?
Nehemiah is asking his brother Hanani about the condition of the Jewish people who had returned to Jerusalem after being exiled in Babylon. He wants to know how those who survived are doing and what state the city itself is in.
