Micah 6:2

What does Micah 6:2 mean?
God is calling the earth itself to witness what he's about to say to his people. The mountains and foundations represent something solid and permanent, making them fitting observers of this serious moment. God has a grievance with Israel, not because he's angry without cause, but because they've broken their covenant with him, and he's going to make his case clear.
