What does Matthew 8:18 mean?
Jesus looks around and sees crowds pressing in on him from every direction. Rather than stay and keep teaching or healing, he makes a deliberate choice to move away, to cross the sea to a quieter place. It's a reminder that even Jesus recognized the need to step back, to create space, to get away from the constant demands on his attention and energy. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do isn't to say yes to everything in front of us, but to pause, to rest, and to listen for what God is actually calling us to in this moment.
