What does Matthew 7:6 mean?
Jesus uses vivid animal imagery here to talk about discernment and wisdom in sharing sacred things. Some people, he's saying, aren't ready or willing to receive what's precious, and forcing it on them won't help them—it'll just result in rejection and harm. This doesn't mean we should judge people as worthless, but rather that we need wisdom about *when* and *with whom* to share our deepest convictions, our faith, or our vulnerability. Sometimes protecting what's holy in your own heart means recognizing when someone isn't in a place to receive it respectfully, and that's okay.
