What does Matthew 6:4 mean?
When you help someone quietly, without announcing it or seeking recognition, you're trusting that God notices what others might miss. Jesus is teaching that genuine kindness doesn't need applause or social media validation to matter, because God himself is watching and values the heart behind the action. The reward he mentions isn't necessarily fame or earthly gain, but something deeper: the knowledge that you acted out of real compassion rather than pride. This gives permission to do good things in obscurity, knowing your actions have weight and meaning even when no one else sees them.
