What does Matthew 5:16 mean?
When Jesus talks about letting your light shine, he's not asking you to draw attention to yourself or to perform good deeds for praise. Instead, he's inviting you to live so authentically and kindly that people naturally notice God's character reflected in how you treat them. Your honest kindness, your patience with someone struggling, your generosity without fanfare, your willingness to help, these things point others toward something larger than yourself.
