What does Matthew 28:11 mean?
While the women were rushing to tell the disciples about Jesus's resurrection, the Roman guards who had been stationed at his tomb hurried into Jerusalem with their own report. They went straight to the Jewish leaders and described everything they had witnessed, the miraculous events surrounding the empty tomb. This verse sets up a pivotal moment where two very different accounts of the resurrection were about to spread through the city, each carrying enormous weight and consequence.
