What does Matthew 28:10 mean?
Jesus says this to the women who've just encountered him after his resurrection, when they're naturally terrified by what they've witnessed. His first words are reassurance, not commands, because he knows fear is their immediate reality. He then gives them a specific task: tell his disciples (his "brothers") to head north to Galilee, where they'll encounter him themselves. This moment carries real tenderness. Instead of appearing to the disciples directly, Jesus uses these women as messengers, which was countercultural in that time and place.
