Matthew 26:13

Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”

What does Matthew 26:13 mean?

Jesus is affirming the worth of a humble act of devotion. A woman had just anointed him with expensive perfume, and when his disciples complained about the waste, he stopped them and promised her deed would be remembered forever alongside the gospel itself. What makes this remarkable is that Jesus isn't talking about grand achievements or public recognition. He's honoring someone who simply gave what she had in a moment of love, without needing anyone's approval or understanding. When you're going through difficulty and wondering if your small gestures of faith or kindness matter, this promise reminds you that faithfulness in quiet moments has eternal significance. God notices what we do from the heart, even when no one else does.
