What does Matthew 25:22 mean?
In this parable, a servant reports back to his master with genuine pride and accountability. He received two talents (a significant amount of money in that culture) and through honest work, he doubled what was entrusted to him. What makes his report meaningful isn't the absolute size of his gain, but that he gave everything he had to the task and produced results proportional to his opportunity. Jesus uses this story to show that faithfulness isn't measured by comparing yourself to others or by achieving some fixed standard.
