Matthew 24:6
“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet.”
What does Matthew 24:6 mean?
Jesus is preparing his followers for a difficult future by telling them that conflict and instability will be part of the world's story. He's not saying these things are good or that we should ignore injustice, but rather that turbulence and uncertainty don't mean God has abandoned his plan or that the final judgment is coming tomorrow. The encouragement here is to keep perspective when alarming news fills your days: anxiety about every crisis isn't the response Jesus calls us to. Instead, he invites us to trust that God remains in control even when the world feels chaotic, and to remember that our present struggles, however real, are not the end of the story.
