What does Matthew 24:29 mean?
Jesus is describing what will happen at the end of time in cosmic, dramatic language. When He speaks of the sun darkening and stars falling, He's using vivid imagery that ancient people would have recognized as signs of God's great intervention in history, similar to language used in the Old Testament prophets.
