What does Matthew 20:30 mean?

Two men who couldn't see were sitting along the roadside, and when they heard Jesus was nearby, they called out desperately for help, addressing him as the promised Messiah. Their cry "son of David" shows they recognized Jesus as the one the Jewish people had been waiting for, even though many others doubted him. What's striking is that these men, despite their blindness and likely low place in society, saw something about Jesus that others missed and had the courage to ask for help rather than stay silent. Their persistence and faith in calling out to him, even as a crowd might have ignored them, reveals how sometimes those with the least in this world are quickest to recognize their deepest need and turn toward hope.
