What does Matthew 20:29 mean?

Jesus had just finished teaching in Jericho, and word of his presence had spread. A large crowd gathered and began following him as he left the city, drawn by curiosity, hope for healing, or simply the magnetic effect he seemed to have on people wherever he went. This moment captures how his movement was growing in momentum as he made his way toward Jerusalem. The crowds following him weren't organized or official, just ordinary people drawn by what they'd heard or experienced, moving together in the same direction.
