What does Matthew 17:7 mean?

Jesus reaches out to comfort his disciples after they've witnessed something overwhelming, his transfiguration alongside Moses and Elijah. In that moment of fear and confusion, he doesn't explain or justify what they've seen, he simply touches them and tells them to rise. This pattern shows us something about how Jesus meets us: sometimes what we need most isn't a detailed explanation but a steady presence and a voice telling us we're safe. The physical touch combined with his words reminds us that God's comfort isn't distant or theoretical, it's intimate and real.
