What does Matthew 17:21 mean?
Jesus is explaining why his disciples couldn't heal a boy with a severe condition. When they tried and failed, they asked him why, and he pointed to their lack of prayer and fasting, suggesting that some spiritual battles require deeper devotion and preparation than a casual approach allows.
