What does Matthew 15:35 mean?

Jesus had just received word that a large crowd needed to be fed, and rather than turn them away, he asked his disciples to bring him whatever food was available. This simple command to sit down shows Jesus preparing to do something extraordinary, yet he starts with this ordinary, practical step. He's treating the crowd's hunger and comfort as matters worthy of his attention, not as an interruption to be rushed through. In that moment of sitting, the crowd went from being scattered and needy to being gathered and cared for, which itself was an act of dignity before the miracle even began.
