What does Matthew 14:13 mean?
When Jesus learned that John the Baptist had been executed, he needed time alone to grieve and process that loss. He got into a boat and went to an isolated place, seeking solitude in his pain, which is something many of us understand deeply when we're hurting. But the crowds wouldn't let him have that quiet moment. They followed him on foot from the surrounding towns, desperate for his healing and teaching. What's remarkable here is that instead of turning them away or staying withdrawn, Jesus ultimately responds to their need with compassion.
