Matthew 10:24
ββA disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.β
What does Matthew 10:24 mean?
Jesus is reminding his followers that learning and growth require humility. When you're following someone as a teacher or guide, you can't expect to know more than they do or to be exempt from the hard parts of their path. This doesn't mean staying small or doubting your own worth, but rather accepting that following someone you respect means being willing to learn from their example, including their struggles and sacrifice. It's an invitation to stop trying to shortcut the real work of becoming who you want to be.
