Mark 8:24
“He looked up, and said, “I see men; for I see them like trees walking.””
What does Mark 8:24 mean?
A blind man has just been touched by Jesus and is beginning to see, but his vision is still blurry and incomplete. His eyes are working, yet everything appears confused and shadowy to him, like trees moving where he expects to see people. It's a profound moment: healing doesn't always arrive as a sudden, perfect transformation. Sometimes restoration comes gradually, and we have to learn to interpret what we're perceiving, even when it's unclear. This man's honest answer tells us it's okay to be in the in-between space where things are getting better but aren't quite right yet.
