Mark 8:21
“He asked them, “Don’t you understand yet?””
What does Mark 8:21 mean?
Jesus asks this question after his disciples have witnessed him miraculously feed thousands of people—twice—yet they're still anxious about having forgotten to bring bread for their journey. He's gently pressing them to see the deeper truth: if he can provide abundantly for massive crowds, why would they worry about basic provisions? The question invites them (and us) to move beyond surface-level concerns to genuine trust in his care and power. It's asked with a note of patience rather than frustration, as if he's saying, "I'm still here, and I'm still working—what more do you need to see to really believe?"
