What does Mark 7:20 mean?
Jesus is pointing us to something that cuts deeper than any food rules or external practices: what actually corrupts a person comes from within. He's responding to religious leaders who were concerned about ritual purity, hand-washing, and dietary laws, but Jesus redirects their attention to the heart. This matters because it means we can't outsource our moral lives to rules and appearances.
