Mark 5:6
βWhen he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and bowed down to him,β
What does Mark 5:6 mean?
A man tormented by demons saw Jesus approaching and ran toward him, falling to the ground in worship. What's striking here is that this man, living in such brokenness and isolation that he lived among tombs, recognized something in Jesus that drew him irresistibly forward. Even in his deepest suffering, he sensed healing and hope. His immediate physical response, running and bowing, shows us what desperation mixed with faith can look like, and reminds us that Jesus draws people toward himself, especially those who feel most lost or broken.
