What does Mark 5:22 mean?
A synagogue leader named Jairus had just heard that Jesus was nearby, and he was desperate enough to abandon his dignity. In that culture, a man of his status and authority would never normally kneel before a traveling teacher, yet he threw himself at Jesus's feet the moment he saw him.
