Mark 3:15
“and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:”
What does Mark 3:15 mean?
Jesus gave his twelve apostles real power, not just good advice or encouragement. This wasn't theoretical knowledge about healing, but actual authority to do what Jesus himself was doing: restore people's physical health and free them from spiritual oppression. The early church took this seriously, and throughout the New Testament we see these followers exercising that same authority they'd been given. It shows us that following Jesus wasn't meant to be passive, but involved stepping into his mission of bringing wholeness and freedom to broken people.
