What does Mark 16:2 mean?

A small group of women, including Mary Magdalene, went to Jesus's tomb in the early morning after his crucifixion, carrying spices to anoint his body according to Jewish burial customs. They arrived as dawn was breaking, bringing their grief and devotion to honor someone they loved. What they were about to discover, as the rest of Mark's account reveals, would completely overturn their expectations and reshape everything they believed about death and hope.
