What does Mark 16:1 mean?

After the Sabbath ended on Saturday evening, these women—who had witnessed Jesus' crucifixion—went to buy burial spices. Their plan was to anoint his body with these oils as a final act of love and respect, which was a Jewish burial practice. What's striking here is their devotion: even in their grief and the risk of being near his tomb, they were determined to honor him with this tender care. This moment captures how real love doesn't stop when everything falls apart, but shows up anyway to do what little it can.
