What does Mark 14:23 mean?

During the Last Supper, Jesus shared wine with his disciples in a deeply meaningful way. By giving thanks before passing the cup, he was following Jewish custom, but he was also connecting this meal to God's faithfulness and what was about to happen. When all of them drank together, they were participating in something sacred, a moment of unity and covenant that would later become central to Christian worship and remembrance.
