What does Mark 13:21 mean?
Jesus is warning his followers not to be fooled by people claiming to be the Messiah or claiming to know exactly where he is. During times of uncertainty and hardship, people are often desperate for a savior figure, making them vulnerable to false leaders who exploit that hope. Jesus wants us to be discerning and skeptical of grand claims about spiritual salvation or secret knowledge, especially when someone demands we follow them or go to a particular place to find deliverance. His real return won't require us to chase after rumors or put our trust in human intermediaries.
