What does Mark 13:16 mean?

Jesus is describing a moment of sudden, urgent danger, speaking to his followers about how quickly they'll need to flee when crisis comes. He's saying that survival depends on traveling light, without stopping to gather belongings. The practical point is simple: when you face real danger, trying to collect your possessions costs you precious time and could cost you your life. This applies both to the literal persecution his followers would face and to how we handle spiritual urgency, reminding us that some moments demand we let go of what we own to protect what matters most, including our own wellbeing and that of those we love.
