Malachi 3:13

What does Malachi 3:13 mean?
God is calling out a pattern of complaint and accusation that his people have fallen into, and they don't even realize they're doing it. Their words have been harsh and challenging toward God, yet when confronted, they deny it, asking innocently "What did we say?" It's the kind of self-deception that happens when we're in a season of hardship or disappointment with God, and our frustration has become so normalized that we don't recognize our own bitterness anymore. God sees not just what we say about him in big moments, but the accumulated weight of our grumbling, our "why me?" questions, and our subtle accusations that he's unfair or uncaring, and he's inviting his people to honest reflection rather than defensiveness.
