What does Luke 6:30 mean?
Jesus is calling us to a radical kind of generosity that doesn't keep careful score. When someone asks for help, give it without calculating whether they deserve it or whether you'll get repaid. And if someone takes something from you, don't demand it back or hold a grudge. This doesn't mean you're foolish about genuine needs or that boundaries don't matter, but rather that Jesus is inviting us to let go of the defensive, transactional way we often relate to our possessions and to others. He's describing a freedom that comes from trusting God to provide for you, even when you're generous with what you have. In a world that teaches us to protect ourselves first, this is an invitation to a different way of living altogether.
