Luke 24:6
“He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,”
What does Luke 24:6 mean?
The angel at Jesus's tomb is reminding the women that Jesus isn't dead anymore, and then pointing them back to what Jesus had already said about this very thing. It's a gentle rebuke, really, as if to say, "This shouldn't surprise you, because he already told you this would happen." The angel is inviting them to remember Jesus's own words and trust what he said, even when circumstances looked impossible and confusing. For those of us walking through our own losses or uncertainties, this speaks to the power of holding onto what God has promised, even when present circumstances seem to contradict it.
