Luke 24:15
βWhile they talked and questioned together, Jesus himself came near, and went with them.β
What does Luke 24:15 mean?
Two disciples were walking away from Jerusalem after Jesus' crucifixion, confused and grieving, when the risen Jesus appeared and joined their conversation. They didn't recognize him at first, but he walked alongside them and listened to their doubts and questions without judgment. There's something profoundly comforting here: Jesus didn't wait for them to figure everything out or get their faith perfectly aligned before he showed up. He met them in the middle of their confusion and uncertainty, becoming present to them exactly when they needed it most. For anyone wrestling with doubt or walking through a dark season, this reminds us that Jesus often comes closer to us in our questions rather than holding back until we have all the answers.
