What does Luke 21:19 mean?

When Jesus says this, he's speaking to his followers about what will happen when their faith is tested, persecuted, or challenged. "Endurance" here means holding steady in your trust in God even when circumstances are painful, scary, or seem hopeless. To "win your lives" means to preserve what truly matters about yourself, your integrity, and your relationship with God, rather than losing these things by abandoning your faith under pressure. It's a promise that the person who stays faithful through hardship isn't actually losing, even if it feels that way in the moment. There's a deep paradox here: by refusing to give up or compromise who you are, you actually save yourself in the way that counts most.
