What does Luke 19:20 mean?
A servant in Jesus's parable returns his master's money untouched, wrapped up and hidden away. He's about to explain that he was afraid to risk it, keeping it safe but completely unused. This moment captures something many of us recognize: the paralysis that comes from fear, where playing it safe means accomplishing nothing at all. The master's response (in the verses that follow) reveals that our gifts—whether money, talents, time, or courage—aren't meant to be protected and buried, but invested and used, even when there's a real risk of failure.
