What does Luke 18:3 mean?
This widow kept returning to an unjust judge, persistently asking him to settle a dispute in her favor. She had no powerful family or wealth to protect her interests, so the judge was her only recourse, though he had little motivation to help someone so vulnerable. Her repeated visits reveal her desperation and determination, not willing to accept injustice simply because the odds were against her. Jesus uses her story to show that if even a cold, indifferent judge finally responds to relentless asking, how much more will God, who actually cares about us, respond when we bring our needs to him in prayer.
