Luke 17:21
“neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.””
What does Luke 17:21 mean?
Jesus is answering people who wanted him to point to the kingdom of God as if it were a place on a map. Instead, he's saying the kingdom isn't something you locate by looking around or following someone's directions, because it's already present within you—in your heart, your choices, your relationship with God. This was radical: rather than waiting for some future, distant event, Jesus was saying God's reign is accessible to you right now, from the inside out. It's an invitation to stop searching outside yourself and recognize that transformation begins where you already are.
