“He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.”
What does Luke 16:10 mean?
Jesus is talking about how our character shows itself in small decisions before it ever shows itself in big ones. When you're trustworthy with small responsibilities, honest in minor transactions, or kind in unnoticed moments, you're building the kind of person who can be trusted with larger things. The flip side matters too: if you cut corners or compromise your integrity when no one's watching or when the stakes seem low, that same habit will surface when bigger opportunities or temptations come along. This isn't about perfection, but about the direction your heart is moving. Our daily choices with little things shape who we become, and that character is what actually determines what we're capable of handling well, whether that's finances, relationships, responsibilities, or influence.
