Luke 13:5
“I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.””
What does Luke 13:5 mean?
Jesus is saying that tragedy and disaster in this world don't happen because someone is especially sinful or deserving, and we shouldn't assume we're safe just because bad things haven't happened to us yet. His point is urgent: all of us need to turn around and change direction in how we live, because without that fundamental shift toward God, we face spiritual death regardless of our circumstances. He's not threatening punishment so much as warning that separation from God is the natural consequence of refusing to turn back to him.
