Luke 13:30
“Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.””
What does Luke 13:30 mean?
Jesus is flipping our usual way of measuring success and importance on its head. The people we think are at the bottom—overlooked, struggling, considered failures by the world's standards—might actually be closest to God's heart and most honored in his kingdom. Meanwhile, those who've climbed to the top through status, wealth, or power could find themselves in a completely different position when it comes to what truly matters. This isn't meant to make anyone feel guilty for having blessings or position, but rather to comfort those who feel like they're losing in the game of life. It's a reminder that God sees differently than we do, and his values are worth paying attention to.
