What does Luke 13:11 mean?

A woman had suffered for nearly two decades with a condition that left her physically bent and unable to stand upright, likely causing her constant pain and preventing her from moving freely through daily life. In the cultural context of first-century Judaism, such a prolonged affliction would have marked her as someone many avoided, adding social isolation to her physical burden. Jesus encounters her in this moment of deep limitation, and his response to her (which continues in the following verses) shows that he sees her suffering and her worth despite what others might have overlooked. Her eighteen years of struggle weren't invisible to him, and neither is yours, whatever burden you carry that feels endless or unchangeable.
