Luke 12:3
“Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.”
What does Luke 12:3 mean?
Jesus is saying that nothing stays hidden forever, no matter how carefully we try to keep it secret. Those private conversations, the harsh words we thought no one else would hear, the plans we whispered in darkness, they all eventually come to light. This isn't primarily about judgment, though it can feel that way, but rather a reality check: our words and actions have consequences that spread beyond what we imagine in the moment. He's calling us toward honesty and integrity, knowing that the person we pretend to be in private will eventually be revealed to the world, so we might as well align our hearts with what we want to be known for.
