What does Luke 11:20 mean?

Jesus is saying that when he drives out demons, it's direct evidence that God's power is actively breaking into the world right now, not just something distant or future. The "finger of God" is a vivid image suggesting that God himself is at work through Jesus' actions, making healing and freedom real in people's actual lives. He's inviting his listeners to recognize that the kingdom of God they've been waiting for is already arriving, touching them personally through what they're witnessing. For anyone feeling trapped by fear, illness, or destructive forces, this is Jesus saying God hasn't abandoned us, and his power to transform situations is nearer than we might think.
