What does Leviticus 4:24 mean?
When someone in ancient Israel had unintentionally broken God's law, they brought a goat to the priest as a sin offering, and laying hands on it was a powerful symbolic act. By placing their hand on the animal's head, the person acknowledged their guilt and, in a real sense, transferred their wrongdoing onto the sacrifice that would die in their place.
