Leviticus 4:14
“when the sin in which they have sinned is known, then the assembly shall offer a young bull for a sin offering, and bring it before the Tent of Meeting.”
What does Leviticus 4:14 mean?
When the people of Israel realized they had unknowingly broken God's law as a community, they had a way to make things right: they would bring a young bull to the tent where God met with them and offer it as a sin offering. This practice showed that sin—even unintentional sin—had real consequences, but it also showed that God provided a path for restoration and forgiveness. For us today, this reflects a deeper truth: when we recognize we've gone wrong, we don't have to hide or pretend everything is fine. There's always a way to turn back toward God and receive healing, even when we didn't mean to stumble in the first place.
